Hello Clemence, thank you for participating in my blog. Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? Why did you come to The Netherlands?
I am French, my parents both come from Normandy but I was born in the Alps. I came to the Netherlands 8 years ago to follow my Dutch boyfriend. We had previously lived a few months in Toulouse and Montpellier in France and I wanted to discover his country and culture. I never left since!
Which is your job? Are you satisfied with it?
I work as a Sales manager for a bicycle company, I love my job, it is extremely diverse. I manage an amazing team, travel to beautiful places in South of Europe, and help make cities greener.
As a sucessful woman, what did you do to reach your goal? Do you have more goals in life?
I think that my family’s education and support helped me a lot to reach my goals. Having lived across many countries when I was young, I learned how to adapt to different cultures, be independent and face challenging situations. I also studied and tried different working environments to find out which path I really wanted to follow. Now, I have many more dreams and goals. Some are achievable like having my own vineyard, wine bar and B&B in south of France together with my family. And some maybe not but that keeps me motivated every day!
Do you like to take care of yourself? What do you do about it? Do you think that it is important?
Yes, I love taking care of myself. Being a mom and working full time, it can be challenging sometimes but my son has learned that I need at least 15 minutes in the morning for my skin routine. I also really enjoy sporting three times a week to stay in shape but also to clear my mind.
You are a hardworker and busy woman, how do you manage to enjoy life at the same time?
I go to sport, I see my friends, I travel, I regularly book beauty care appointments. My husband and family in law help me babysit so I can do all these things and enjoy my life outside work and being a mom. I believe that if I am happy and feel good about myself, it will make everyone’s life around me also easier and more fun.
What do you think is your best quality? and worst?
My best quality would maybe be social or optimistic. Worst would be naive or impatient.
